The final exercise for the allocation of Loksabha tickets in
Banaskantha is underway.ongoing arguments with both the demands of tickets in
the name of casteism and opposition to casteism.
There are approximately 17 to 18 lakh voters, mainly Chaudhari
Patel and Thakor community. Although Chaudhary is writing a surname in addition
to Patel, even in Thakore society, it can make a difference in the number of
castes based on the electoral rolls those write parallel surnames to other
communities like Chaudhary. That's why every party and candidate dump the
numbers of caste in their favor.which is far away from reality.
On the other hand, every caste is also fascinated by the beliefs or internal attachments of candidate. Apart from the beliefs of the castes, even though the groups of 100-200 people have been formed in the name of caste by candidates, such a activities only pressurise political parties in every election. This is also the case at present time.
The current MP and Union mining minister Haribhai Chaudhary has won
four times by contesting the elections in the BJP, while reviewing the
political Fever running in Banaskantha. Internally, they have the impression of
non-profligacy. No strong reason for internal opposition. To give priority to
the people of Chaudhari community in small and big works, and not to take
interest in other small and big personal problems of other communities, they
have lost intimacy with the majority of the voters. They did not do any such
big job for the district. That is to say that the district's agricultural or
industrial progress can be made. They have no issue in the election campaign,
except to inform that day-to-day development works during their tenure.
In last 20 years, the tickets for MPs have been allotted only to Haribhai, So other contestants of the district BJP unhappy. In which Shankarbhai Chaudhary (former Health Minister) is considered to be the main contender. Besides,Haribhai has maintained contact along with other BJP-Congress leaders of the district. Holds confidence for his victory.
In the other claimants of BJP, Shankarbhai Chaudhari, despite being
from Patan district as an outsider, took possession of Banas Dairy and
Banaskantha District Central Cooperative Bank and raised strong hold of the
district cooperative structure. The number of which is much larger. Also, the
staff of these organizations, as a salaried employee, is not directly involved
in the management of Shankarbhai's control. He do not have any problem due to
Self confidence. Shankarbhai has not been able to establish intimate
relationships with a senior leader of BJP or Congress in district. It's his
weak aspect. At the last assembly of the Gujarat, he was seen aggressive till he
became from State minister to Chief Minister, while the internal disputes of
parties defeated him in the previous assembly. at that time he did not work
with the strong network of dairies or bank. On the other hand, there are huge
opportunities for jobs and contracts in the dairy and bank, but people of other
castes do not speak openly to Shankarbhai,90% of the staff, except technical
staff in the dairy and bank, have to take only Chaudhari caste, the strict and
aggressive casteism is separating him into the general voters.
Among other claimants, District BJP president and former state
minister Keshaji Chauhan and BJP MP from Patan, Liladhar Vaghela, is demanding
tickets for Thakor Samaj. But due to both these leaders, the Thakor community
has not got any big advantage or could not raise their issues. They have not
been able to make even minor small works to Thakor community. That's an
impression. Because of this, Alpesh Thakor inspired Thakore Senna dominates in
the eyes of Banaskantha.
In Congress, in the last election, Congress had given tickets to
the Chaudhary community named Joytabhai Patel,he lost badly. Apart from that,
in the last 25 years, the Congress has not given tickets to the Chaudhri or
Thakore castes. Other side Congress is like reign of Gadhvi family After the
death of late BK Gadhvi, his son Mukesh Gadhvi and Mukesh Gadhvi died after
given ticket to his wife Krishnaben Gadhvi. J.V. Shah also won from the Janata
Dal. The trend is going on.This time District Congress President Dinesh Gadhvi
in the race. Apart from this, other claimants, former MLA Govabhai Rabari and
the new Congressman Rajubhai Joshi recently made upside-downs, stigma is a
major obstacle in his way. While Govabhai Rabari lost from Deesa in the last
assembly elections, on the other hand, his relative Mavji Desai was the BJP
candidate from Dhanera seat. The coalition, which has reduced its credibility
in the Congress, is not a big head that is currently connected with the
politics of the district. Due to this, another cooperative leader of the
district,Parthibhai Bhatol (former chairman, Banas Dairy), is trying for a
ticket from sevadal. While the same chairman of the service, Laljibhai Desai is
also making a claim for the Banaskantha ticket. Apart from this,VAV MLA Geniben
Thakor is also a contender. Congress has no network of workers in the district.
While the six MLA of Congress in the same district, the district is shown
congressi.
Overall, from the last several years BJP has an anti-incumbency
environment in Banaskantha due to the power of one and the same MP. But the
Congress does not have the basic network to lead the movement convert into
votebank. On the other hand, besides BJP MP Haribhai, Shankarbhai and
Parbatbhai are the only claimants of the Chaudhari community, but the name of
the Parthibhai Bhatol is being discussed in the BJP.Name of Parthibhai Bhatol
has been discusses as BJP-Congress in both groups. Due to political
motivation,he has not given any biodata to anyone, nor is there a general
member of any party.
If there is no unexpected change from the Congress, the BJP appears
to be heavier than the current claimants. Congress seems to be losing, lake of
network of taking its voters to the booth.
Voters:
Of the total 22 lakh 17 thousand voters in Banaskantha district,
Vadagam and Kankrej constituencies fall under the Patan Lok Sabha, 17 to 18
lakh voters are from Banaskantha Lok Sabha constituency.
The average number of different caste figures released by different
claimants is as follows.
Thakor is about 3 lakh 25 thousand.
Chaudhary is about 2 lakh 75 thousand.
Rabari is about one lakh
Brahmin is about 75 to 80 thousand.
